Andrea's Bio

Andrea Lennon, born in Searcy, Arkansas in March 1976, spent the first few days of life in a hospital waiting for her parents, James and Sandra Morris, to pick her up for adoption. Following the adoption, Andrea went home to Paris, Arkansas where she and her family lived for the next eleven years.

At the age of six, Andrea received Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior during a revival at First Baptist Church in Paris, Arkansas. From a very early age, Andrea loved going to church and felt at home with the people of God.

Andrea and her family moved to Harrison, Arkansas in 1987. During her years in Harrison, Andrea’s love for the Lord began to blossom and grow. Church activities challenged Andrea to live out her Christian faith each and every day. The youth group and the women’s ministry group at First Baptist Church, Harrison were vital ministries used by God to encourage Andrea to grow in her love and knowledge for the Word.

God called Andrea to serve Him in ministry at the age of eighteen.  Unfortunately, Andrea did not respond to this call at that time.

In 1996, Andrea married Jay Lennon; and after a year of marriage, Jay and Andrea settled in Conway, Arkansas. Once in Conway, they established a typical “newlywed” routine meaning going to church on Sunday and living like the world on Monday. This routine went on for a couple of years but soon became unfulfilling. Both Jay and Andrea knew something was missing in their lives; and it did not take long to figure out that “it” was not something but someone.

Jay and Andrea began seeking the Lord and soon radical changes became evident in their lives. During this time, God called Andrea to serve Him in ministry for a second time; and praise His name she responded “yes”!

In August 2001, Andrea enrolled in Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and graduated in December, 2004 with a Master of Arts in Christian Education.  From 2003 to 2007, Andrea served on church staff at Second Baptist Church in Conway, Arkansas and Second Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Arkansas.  

Andrea always knew she was called to teach women the Word of God.  In the fall of 2005, Andrea began leading women’s ministry events.  Since that time, Andrea’s passion for teaching God’s Word has grown.  Andrea’s desire is to honor the Lord by living out His Word in her life and then challenging other women to do so as well. 

In 2007, True Vine Ministry was established for the purpose of reaching and discipling women in Jesus Christ.  The Lord has faithfully opened doors at home and abroad.  Today, Andrea praises God for the opportunities to invest in the lives of women. 

Jay and Andrea are active members of Second Baptist Church in Conway, Arkansas. They have been married for over 12 years and are blessed with two sons, Jake and Andrew. The Lennon’s praise God daily for His many blessings and His incredible grace.
