Peace with God occurs when you ask Jesus into your heart.   Romans 5:1 states, “We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”  Today, if you desire God's peace in your life, follow the steps below.

Step 1: Recognize and accept the sinfulness of your heart.  Romans 3:23 states, “For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God.”   Sin occurs when you have a wrong thought, motive, or action.  Sin separates us from God because God is perfect.  Thus, a barrier exists between God and man.  This barrier is created by sin and cannot be fixed by man.

Please take a few moments and confess the sinfulness of your heart.  As you confess, take  time and really talk to God.  Talk to Him as you would talk to your best friend.  Tell Him everything you have ever done that you regret and wish you could take back.  List the sins specifically and allow your heart to feel the weight of the sin in your life.  Once you have confessed your sins, asks God to forgive you for your sins.

Step 2:  Believe that Jesus died in your place.  Romans 5:6-8 states, “You see, at  just the right time when we were still powerless, Christ died for the   ungodly.  Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a   good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this:  While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”  While you and I were powerless to do anything about the sin in our lives, God’s plan made a way and provided a perfect sacrifice.  A little over two thousand years ago, God sent Jesus to earth.  While here, Jesus lived a perfect sinless life.  As Jesus walked on this earth he did amazing things.  He healed people.  He loved people.  He taught people; and most importantly, He made a way to save people.  Jesus died a cruel death so you and I can have eternal life—life that never ends and results in spending eternity in heaven with God.

Please take a few moments and thank Jesus for dying in your place and paying your penalty for sin.

Step 3: Confess Jesus as your Savior and believe in Him.  Romans 10:9 states, “That if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”  To confess means to admit, declare, or acknowledge.  To believe means to put your faith in and implies complete and total trust.

Please take a few moments and confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior and place your complete trust in Him.

The Result:  By wholeheartedly following the steps above, you can know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God saved you and made you His child.  John 1:12 states, “To all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.”  Sweet friend, you can rejoice this day because of the truth taught in this scripture.  When you place your life in Jesus’ hands you receive the right to be God’s child; and once you are God’s child, you are safe and secure in Him.

Please take a few moments and thank God for saving you.  As soon as possible, tell a friend, minister, Bible study teacher, or relative that you have asked Jesus into your life.  Then quickly get involved in a church that teaches you how to grow in your relationship with Jesus by focusing on the principles taught in the Bible.  I will be praying for you!!
